Emporia State University Professor of Mathematics Connie Schrock will begin her third term on the National Council of Supervisors of Mathematics (NSCM) board as the president-elect, transitioning to the president in April 2017.

Schrock teaches mathematics courses for both undergraduate and graduate students, and has received multiple grants and partnerships. She has previously served the NCSM in multiple capacities, including a 2013 stint chairing the writing team that produced the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics’ “Great Tasks.”

In her capacity as board president, Shrock will lead 13 elected board members and 22 appointed ones, for whom she will create a list of nominees.

Schrock will take over as the board president following the NCSM 2017 Annual Conference, when the appointed board members will also take office.
