Fordham University's Lincoln Center campus will host two conferences for academics, students and leaders in humanitarian affairs.

The first conference called “Human Rights in an Age of Ambiguity” will take place June 13-15. The event will be sponsored by Fordham and the International Studies Association, along with three other groups.

Recent trends in the global human rights landscape will be the topic that the conference will address. This will include the pushback against human rights, which is an emerging trend, the global refugee crisis, and worldwide threats to human rights.

The second conference, held June 16-18, is “Meeting the Challenges of Development and Dignity.”

This conference, which is co-sponsored by the Institute of International Humanitarian Affairs at Fordham, acts as the annual Academic Council on the United Nations System meeting. The focus of this conference will be the role of education as an engine of development and the best way to achieve gender equity to guarantee development and dignity. Another focus of the conference will be the role faith plays in development and dignity.
