Ohio's
Tiffin University (TU) recently named Peter Holbrook as its provost.
Holbrook has considerable
leadership experience,
including serving as dean
of the Cardinal Stritch
University College of Business and Management and as president and CEO
of the Cream City Foundation, both
in Milwaukee.
“Peter brings extensive knowledge in developing and
executing academic programs, particularly in terms of nontraditional
delivery methods,” Tiffin University President Lillian
Schumacher said. “It is
imperative to TU’s long-term sustainability that we build new
programs and evaluate our current offerings to enhance what we offer
our students, and Dr. Holbrook brings this expertise.”
Holbrook has
a doctorate in leadership studies, a
master’s degree
in management and a B.A.
in business. He is also
an accomplished
researcher, published writer and speaker.
“It’s
an exciting and challenging time to be in higher education,” he
said. “I embrace the
many complexities and opportunities it presents. The mission of TU is
very compelling and the vision to equip a diverse student body with
global and 21st century skills is critical to preparing a workforce
and leaders for tomorrow.”
Holbrook
added that Tiffin presents a unique opportunity to use his
experience.
“For
me, it is all about creating learning environments that promote
value, access and opportunity as a means to transforming our
communities,” he
said.
