Graduates earn 1,817 degrees, certificates from Inter American University of Puerto Rico-Metro

About 28.7 percent of the 1,817 degrees and certificates handed out by the Inter American University of Puerto Rico-Metro in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Juan conferred 311 bachelor's degrees and 118 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Data shows the school gave out 305 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, followed by 167 master's degrees in Social Work and 118 associate's degrees in Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse Training.

The university enrolled 8,844 students for 2016-17, including 6,314 in undergraduate programs and 2,530 in graduate programs.
