About 36.4 percent of the 33 degrees and certificates handed out by the University of Phoenix-Washington DC in 2016-17 were to students in Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting and Related Protective Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Washington conferred 12 bachelor's degrees in Homeland Security, Law Enforcement, Firefighting and Related Protective Services programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration. Data shows the school gave out 8 bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration, followed by 7 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General and 7 bachelor's degrees in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance.
The university enrolled 119 students for 2016-17, including 118 in undergraduate programs and 1 in graduate programs.
