About 50 percent of the 74 degrees and certificates handed out by the Caribbean University-Vega Baja in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Baja conferred 19 bachelor's degrees and 18 associate's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Practical Nursing, Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistants, Other. Data shows the school gave out 19 bachelor's degrees in Practical Nursing, Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistants, Other, followed by 18 associate's degrees in Practical Nursing, Vocational Nursing and Nursing Assistants, Other and 12 bachelor's degrees in Social Work.
The university enrolled 384 students for 2016-17, including 347 in undergraduate programs and 37 in graduate programs.
