About 67 percent of the 230 degrees and certificates handed out by the Universidad Adventista de las Antillas in 2016-17 were to students in Health Professions and Related Programs programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Mayaguez conferred 147 bachelor's degrees and 7 master's degrees in Health Professions and Related Programs programs.
But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse. Data shows the school gave out 141 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse, followed by 16 bachelor's degrees in Biology/Biological Sciences, General and 14 bachelor's degrees in Theology/Theological Studies.
The universidad enrolled 1,351 students for 2016-17, including 1,256 in undergraduate programs and 95 in graduate programs.
