Graduates earn 8,564 degrees, certificates from The University of Alabama

About 27.4 percent of the 8,564 degrees and certificates handed out by the The University of Alabama in 2016-17 were to students in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Tuscaloosa conferred 1949 bachelor's degrees and 384 master's degrees in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Data shows the school gave out 434 bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and Management, General, followed by 411 bachelor's degrees in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse and 371 bachelor's degrees in Marketing/Marketing Management, General.

The university enrolled 37,663 students for 2016-17, including 32,563 in undergraduate programs and 5,100 in graduate programs.
