About 32.8 percent of the 125 degrees and certificates handed out by the ICPR Junior College-Mayaguez in 2016-17 were to students in Personal and Culinary Services programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private for-profit institution in Mayaguez conferred 41 certificates in Personal and Culinary Services programs.
But the single most popular program was for a certificate in Cooking and Related Culinary Arts, General. Data shows the school gave out 26 certificates in Cooking and Related Culinary Arts, General, followed by 15 certificates in Baking and Pastry Arts/Baker/Pastry Chef and 14 associate's degrees in Nursing Science.
The college enrolled 500 students for 2016-17, all of whom were enrolled in undergraduate programs.
