Cost of college went up for all students at EDIC College

Tuition and fees rose 1.8 percent for 2017-18 at EDIC College, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Puerto Rico students paid $6,820 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year $120 more than the $6,700 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 92 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 312 students received grants or scholarships totaling $1.8 million.

Including all undergraduates, 1,183 students used grants or scholarships totaling $7.19 million. Another 11 took out $45,051 in federal student loans.
