Cost of college went up for all students at Berry College

Tuition and fees rose 4.8 percent for 2017-18 at Berry College, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

Georgia students paid $35,176 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $1,620 more than the $33,556 charged for 2016-17.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 575 students received grants or scholarships totaling $12.17 million and 327 students took out student loans totaling more than $2.55 million.

Including all undergraduates, 2,086 students used grants or scholarships totaling $43.83 million. Another 1,147 took out $7.36 million in federal student loans.
