In-state tuition and fees rose 4.4 percent for 2017-18 at EDP University of Puerto Rico Inc-San Sebastian, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.
Puerto Rico residents paid $6,200 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year $260 more than the $5,940 charged for 2016-17.
Non-residents paid 72.8 percent more than residents this year, or $10,712. Their price tag grew 80.3 percent from $5,940 in 2016-17.
About 68 percent of the school's undergraduate population are Puerto Rico residents. And about 32 percent are residents of other states.
Data shows 96 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 160 students received grants or scholarships totaling $817,127 and 36 students took out student loans totaling more than $246,909.
Including all undergraduates, 968 students used grants or scholarships totaling $4.99 million. Another 354 took out $3.43 million in federal student loans.
