95 percent of applicants to Brigham Young University-Idaho were admitted for fall 2017

At Brigham Young University-Idaho, 52 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Rexburg enrolled 51,881 students in fall 2017, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 3.9 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

21 percent of undergraduates are residents of Idaho, and 76 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (51 percent) and two or more races (5 percent).

The school admitted 95 percent of the 9,177 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 55 percent enrolled.
