86 percent of applicants to Baker University were admitted for fall 2017

At Baker University, 74 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Baldwin City enrolled 2,694 students in fall 2017, including 1,771 in undergraduate and 923 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

65 percent of undergraduates are residents of Kansas, and 35 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (74 percent) and Black or African American (9 percent).

The school admitted 86 percent of the 805 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 37 percent enrolled.
