66 percent of applicants to University of Arkansas were admitted for fall 2017

At University of Arkansas, 91 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Fayetteville enrolled 27,558 students in fall 2017, including 23,044 in undergraduate and 4,514 in graduate programs, data shows. 6.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

49 percent of undergraduates are residents of Arkansas, and 50 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (76 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (9 percent).

The school admitted 66 percent of the 21,715 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 35 percent enrolled.
