98 percent of applicants to Eastern Oregon University were admitted for fall 2017

At Eastern Oregon University, 56 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 61 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in La Grande enrolled 3,016 students in fall 2017, including 2,737 in undergraduate and 279 in graduate programs, data shows. 16.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

64 percent of undergraduates are residents of Oregon, and 35 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (73 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (10 percent).

The school admitted 98 percent of the 1,011 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 33 percent enrolled.
