Florida Institute of Technology-Online enrolls 1,634 undergrads

At Florida Institute of Technology-Online, 81 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Melbourne enrolled 2,537 students in fall 2017, including 1,634 in undergraduate and 903 in graduate programs, data shows. 14.4 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (53 percent) and Black or African American (21 percent).
