71 percent of applicants to Loyola University Chicago were admitted for fall 2017

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Chicago enrolled 16,673 students in fall 2017, including 11,420 in undergraduate and 5,253 in graduate programs, data shows. 5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

56 percent of undergraduates are residents of Illinois, and 41 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (55 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (15 percent).

The school admitted 71 percent of the 23,571 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 16 percent enrolled.
