72 percent of applicants to Harding University were admitted for fall 2017

At Harding University, 96 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 55 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Searcy enrolled 5,541 students in fall 2017, including 4,184 in undergraduate and 1,357 in graduate programs, data shows. 3.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

28 percent of undergraduates are residents of Arkansas, and 69 percent are residents of other states. 3 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (82 percent) and Black or African American (4 percent).

The school admitted 72 percent of the 2,023 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 65 percent enrolled.
