38 percent of applicants to University of Puerto Rico-Humacao were admitted for fall 2017

At University of Puerto Rico-Humacao, 96 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 63 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Humacao enrolled 3,723 students in fall 2017, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 1.1 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

100 percent of undergraduates are residents of Puerto Rico.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (90 percent) and Black or African American (2 percent).

The school admitted 38 percent of the 2,133 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 84 percent enrolled.
