Western Governors University enrolls 72,385 undergrads

At Western Governors University, 91 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 64 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Salt Lake City enrolled 98,627 students in fall 2017, including 72,385 in undergraduate and 26,242 in graduate programs, data shows. 98.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (71 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (10 percent).
