66 percent of applicants to Arkansas State University-Main Campus were admitted for fall 2017

At Arkansas State University-Main Campus, 81 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 60 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Jonesboro enrolled 13,930 students in fall 2017, including 9,604 in undergraduate and 4,326 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.5 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

80 percent of undergraduates are residents of Arkansas, and 12 percent are residents of other states. 8 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (76 percent) and Black or African American (13 percent).

The school admitted 66 percent of the 5,683 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 38 percent enrolled.
