64 percent of applicants to Metropolitan State University of Denver were admitted for fall 2017

At Metropolitan State University of Denver, 60 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 53 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Denver enrolled 20,304 students in fall 2017, including 19,666 in undergraduate and 638 in graduate programs, data shows. 13.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

97 percent of undergraduates are residents of Colorado, and 3 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (54 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (27 percent).

The school admitted 64 percent of the 11,435 students who applied for fall 2017. Of those who were admitted, 33 percent enrolled.
