1.7 percent of Universidad Politecnica de Puerto Rico students played sports on university teams in 2016-2017

In 2016-2017, 1.7 percentage of Universidad Politecnica de Puerto Rico students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Universidad Politecnica de Puerto Rico has 3,494 undergraduate students, of which 78 percent are men and 22 percent are women, and a total student body of 4,315 students. Of these students, 50 men and 23 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 4.3 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Universidad Politecnica de Puerto Rico with the most participants are volleyball (24), basketball (11) and other sports (9).
